Whoawhoaaawhoa slow down summer.
My little sister moved out with her boyfriend, which is still a bizarre thought to think. FolkFest is a week and a few days away, and I am just as excited as I ever am for this time of year. Maybe even a bit more excited than usual, because I haven't seen Jason in too long.
This picture was taken on a very short roadtrip that Emily and I took to Vulcan. This is the only roll of film I have had developed from our trips because I don't want to get them done here, and don't even know if there is a reliable place in Lethbridge. Anyway, we saw a sign for "Tee Pee Rings" and we obviously wanted to check them out, but we were let down because the rings were almost entirely grown over with long prairie grass. On this very same trip I got a $300 ticket. Boo.

I'm just workin my summer awaaaaay.
Doris is here visiting though, which is nice. We are doing summer things, like having campfires and watching fireworks.
The garden is growing like crazy now that it's getting hotter. There is a family of little robins in the backyard - one mom and three babies. The mom teaches them how to do bird things, like fly around and catch bugs in the grass and the little birds do things like fighting over sticks and flying in to windows and.

Hi internet, I am making crackers and hummus and wishing my cat would snuggle with me. I hope the crackers work because I am already dreaming about all the different flavours I could make. What are you doing?

This weekend/beginning of next week I get to take a few days off to take photos of new places! I can't waiiit. The break will be so nice too. Even though I've really only been back at work for a month... The garden's growing!
This photo is from the day we planted most of the garden.

A few weeks later, things are growwwwing! There are also tomatoes, carrots, peppers, strawberries, raspberries, leeks, cucumbers and some kind of squash? And flowers. Lots of them!

I loovvveee browsing through pages and pages of dreamy summer dresses online.
I've been looking for books or blogs on healthy baking, that have recipes that use whole grains (and other nutritious ingredients) and little sugar or butter, but have been having the worst time trying to find something. Any suggestions?
What's everyone doing for the summer? TELL ME YOUR PLANS.
Flowers from our backyard.

I've been working like crazy. And I want someone to massage every single last hair follicle on my head. I am so excited to take a few days off and drive somewhere new and take pictures of everything. The summer's just started and my room is already ALMOST unbearable. Almost. COLA AND LIMEEE TIME.
